About WiseMerc

WiseMerc is an independent review site for musical keyboards. We cover synthesizers, arranger workstations, music-creation keyboards and digital pianos from Roland, Yamaha, Korg and Nord.

What we do

Every piece we publish starts from the manufacturer’s own published specification. We read the keyboard specification, compare the key action, the sound engine, the polyphony, the connectivity and the physical design, then write what that combination actually means for a player.

What we don’t do

We do not publish prices. We do not publish stock levels. We do not rank instruments by how much commission a link pays. If an instrument is not right for your situation, we say so.

How we test

Our reviews are analysis, not hands-on lab reports. We are explicit about this on every article. Where a claim comes from the manufacturer, we attribute it. Where we are reasoning about how a specification will feel in practice, we label it as our assessment.

Editorial independence

WiseMerc is editorially independent. Affiliate arrangements never influence which instruments we cover or what we conclude about them. If we cannot see a clear use case for a product, we do not write about it.
